ISC Education at ISC West 2009 Presentation Selection Process
Submit your proposal and help shape the ISC Education program! All submissions are to be made online and are then reviewed after the submission deadline of July 31, 2008. Notifications will be sent electronically to the email address listed on the submission form. All proposals go through a review and selection process. Proposals will be reviewed by a diverse selection of industry professionals from all areas of the security industry.
Evaluation Criteria
Past Speaking History - speaker's history and evaluation scores at past events
- Appeal - the subject is important and timely and is of interest to security professionals.
- Clarity of Proposal - the session description and title are clearly defined. Presentations cannot be used to promote specific products or companies.
- Diversity of Speakers - a variety of speakers including practitioners who bring different perspectives to a subject. Consider partnering with corporate partners or other security practitioners who can provide a different perspective on your topic
Terms & Conditions
- Presentations should describe a unique and/or new technology information or application. Presenter(s) will provide new information, knowledge or skill, or a unique application of known information or skills
- All proposals must be non-sales or marketing oriented. Presentations of a marketing nature or those containing specific product demonstrations will not be accepted.
- A PowerPoint presentation is required using the ISC Education template. Once the PowerPoint presentation has been received there will be no changes allowed.
- ISC Education reserves the right to work with those whose presentations are selected to further develop the presentation, topic or speaker roster.
Dates and Deadlines
Submission Deadline: July 31, 2008
Presentations: Authors of accepted presentations MUST provide a copy of their FINAL presentation materials no later than Thursday, January 21, 2009.
